Macrodystrophia lipomatosa with fibrolipomatous hamartoma of the median nerve, sciatic nerve and brachial plexus
Die Macrodystrophia lipomatosa (ML), auch als Fettriesenwuchs bezeichnet, stellt eine seltene Form der Makrodaktylie dar. Es handelt sich um eine angeborene, jedoch nicht vererbbare Erkrankung, die durch einen lokalisierten Riesenwuchs (Gigantismus) eines Teils einer Extremität gekennzeichnet ist – meist in Form einer partiellen Akromegalie eines oder zweier Finger. Charakteristisch ist ein disproportionales Wachstum mesenchymaler Gewebeanteile, insbesondere von fibroadipösem Gewebe.
